The Braishfield Pantry
A community shop and café
The Pantry initiative launches in 2014 , selling tea, coffe and cake in the Village Hall, then converting a store cupboard to sell more produce.
In early 2015 plans are drawn up for a purpose built extension to the hall to house the Pantry
The shop opens in February 2016
After much work to obtain grants, finalise designs and find contractors, the work starts
The official opening takes place in June 2016
The Pantry wins its first award from Hampshire Food & Life
The Pantry hosts a major event to celebrate the Royal Wedding in May 2018
The Pantry stocks over 30 local suppliers for the first time in 2017
In November 2019 the Braishfield Banger wins best sausage in the UK
During the first Covid Lockdown the Pantry starts a delivery service for people isolating.
In June 2020 the Pantry kitchen is refurbished
