Outdoor seating survey results...
The Village Hall and Pantry would like to thank everyone who took part on the recent survey on outdoor seating options for the village hall. We had over 90 respondents which means, that over both surveys, 145 people voiced their views and opinions.
All of this means we have decided to proceed with our grant application on the basis that:
1. Our preference is to install the awning to provide a cover to the patio.
2. Our preference is to purchase the Gabion stone cage table. However, we will not purchase fixed benches to go with this. We were concerned about misuse in the evenings, providing appropriate access for people with wheelchairs and pushchairs and allowing sufficient space for vehicles to get to the hall entrance.
3. We will not proceed with any outdoor heaters based on concerns expressed about the potential environmental impact and running costs.
Work continues now on finalising some aspects of the design and getting our grant application completed. We will continue to provide updates as and when, but if anyone has any further comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us though the Pantry email:
